In 2020, Snälltaget acquired ten Bvcmz 248.5 couchette cars from Germany and modernized them visually. These carriages, formerly used by CityNightLine and DB Nachtzug, are now used on the Stockholm – Berlin route. From Stockholm to Trelleborg, the train is pulled by a Snälltaget Vectron – then the ferry takes you to Sassnitz. On the German side, the train is then taken over by various private railways such as WFL.

The company has also been operating a night train from Stockholm to Salzburg since 2022, which means that the cars can also travel to more southern regions.
